The Spinsters! If you like riding at an 18-20 mph pace, in a friendly yet competitive environment, try the Spinsters! Rides boast an unhealthy attraction to hills and infrequent stops. Rides are about 1.5-2 hours and 30-40 miles long. The ride coordinators for the Spinsters are Peter Fandel, Philip vanderWilden and Sergio Alvarez.

The Cranksters! If you want a great workout combined with a friendly, "no rider left behind" attitude, try the Cranksters! Pace is a notch down from the Spinsters (16-18 mph) but rides can be shorter in length depending on stops. Average ride duration is 1.5-2 hours. Chris Randall, John Rizzi and Sean Kavanagh are the Crankster coordinators.

The Spokesters! If you want a great, 15-16 mph workout, the Spokesters are for you. This group also carries the friendly "nrlb" attitude and rides vary in length and are group oriented. Kristin Moore and Candace Nelson are the Spokester coordinators.

Etiquette: Try to respect the pace of the group you are in. If you are, say, a lonely Spinster among a majority of Cranksters, or vice versa, please respect the style and pace of the group. Don't try to make them go slower or faster, to meet your pace or style.

Monster Club Rides: These group rides will feature both the Cranksters, Spinsters and Spokesters and may be long and different (including a fun or challenging destination—like the Wachusett ride—with a family get together at the destination, etc.). Dates will be posted and new potential members are encouraged to join these "test" rides!

Monster Gatherings: We also offer periodic technical sessions and special interest gatherings, such as the ever popular "Beer and Bottom Brackets." Bring your wounded bike, and fellow Monsters will help bring it back to life...all the while throwing back a few local ales. Life doesn't get any better than that.
